Okay I have a few interesting questions about medusa. Like quite a few.
For context Medusa be a monster lady with snakes for hair whose gaze turns people to stone. We all know this.
Art from Scarlet Anime Magic Justin for reference.
If the hair on her head is a bunch of snakes then like wouldn't her pubic hair be also a bunch of snakes? Again I'm asking this not cause I be a weirdo (I am) but rather due to morbid curiosity. And if Medusa got some arm or leg hair hypothetically would they also be a bunch of snakes? If Medusa was a dude or there was a dude gorgon and got a beard would it be composed of snakes as well?
If Medusa cuts her hair do the snakes die? Or is it like a hydra scenario where they come back to life, albeit smaller? Could the hair snakes catch an illness? If they can would Medusa also catch it? Would all of the hair snakes if one suffers from an illness?
If Medusa hypothetically cut off, killed, cooked and ate one of her hair snakes would it be cannibalism? (Is eating your own hair even cannibalism?) As medusa ages (if she can age) do the snakes scales become more and more gray? If she gets a gray hair would it be a singular gray scale on a singular snake? Or would it be a whole gray snake?
In the original myths of Medusa she would be turned to stone if she store at her own reflection in a mirror. And we assume the rest of her snakes turn to stone. What if she looks a singular hair snake or looked down at the snake pubes? (Snubs if you will) would the snakes turn to stone? If they do do they just fall off or would Medusa turn to stone also?
Could the hair snakes have babies with each other? If so would they just be born regular snakes or just meld into the scalp of Medusa? Would Medusa have a spell to hold the snake hair in place like a magical form of hair spray? Do the snake hair need to eat? Can they eat? Or do they solely rely on the life force of Medusa herself? Would they then be classified as a parasite?
Do the snakes age with Medusa? Or do they have their own separate life spans? Like do they age in normal snake years, die and fall off? If a snake hair dies would it just fall out or would it need to be removed?
All of these are very interesting topics. I would like all of your perspectives on the matter.
